​DROP OFF TIME & LOCATION

Allow at least 2.5+ hours travel time to from RFH to arrive at the Schuylkill River Race Course. 
​
Expect a lot of traffic. Carpooling is highly recommended.

The boat trailer will be located by ​Playing Angels Statue on Kelly Drive

STOTESBURY PARKING &  INFORMATION

Stotesbury Cup Regatta Parking LINK

Parking is permitted in $20 paid lots near Strawberry Farm Mansion, Dairy Field & Fairmont Park Athletic Field.

Free shuttles run all day to/from the race course.

Shuttles and trams/carts will be available to help shuttle people along Kelly Drive.

Bicycles are a great way to get around quickly! It will be crowded & hot!

No cars are permitted to enter Kelly Drive past Playing Angels Statue at anytime during the regatta.

NOTE: Regatta organizers have warned all cars parked on the side of the roads will be ticketed by Philly Police Dept

ATHLETE'S MEALS & HYDRATION

Due to a variety of factors, we will not have a tailgate/athlete subs this weekend

Water, ice and snack bars will be provided to the athletes at the trailer

Parents need to send their athletes with electrolyte drinks, nutritious meals and snacks for pre/post race consumption

Due to the staggered arrival/departure times, there will not be an RFH spectator's tent
Bring chairs, water, sunscreen and umbrellas to shield the sun.
Wear comfortable walking shoes!

ARRIVAL TIMES

Due to the excessive heat forecast athlete arrival times are staggered
ALL CREWS-ARRIVE NO LESS THAN 2 HOURS BEFORE THEIR EVENT

Traffic will be heavy
PLAN 2.5+ HOURS FOR TRAVEL FROM RFH
Late arrival can result in the entire boat being scratched

DEPARTURE TIMES

Athletes will be permitted to leave after racing once boat/equipment is stored.
Exception would be boats with a second race same day.
In that case, discuss options to keep athlete cool with coaches before leaving the boat trailer.

RFH Rowing Athletes are excused from school at 11:45am for practice on Schuylkill River
Travel to/from Philly for practice and regatta is between athletes & parents

Thursday afternoon/Friday are excused absences for all competing athletes.
Coach Seslar will provide information to Mr. Lanzalotto, RFH Athletic Director

Coaches/Boats depart for Philadelphia

2:30PM
Trailer Arrival on Schuylkill River
Athletes arrive to rig boats and practice the course (Optional)
IT IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED FOR ALL ATHLETES TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PRACTICING THE COURSE
